The wrong brother named in a story

A story in Tuesday edition about Co-Op Art & Humanities High School’s “Hip-Hopera,” incorrectly mentioned that Solomon Green, who plays Simon Peter in the musical, was shot. It was actually his brother, Henry Green, who was shot near their home in February of 2010.
Music has proved healing for the Green family. As he continues to heal, Henry has recorded a CD.

Spell check

Readers flagged two spelling errors in recent stories. In the story, New York educator chosen as president of Southern Connecticut State University, the last name of Michael Shea was misspelled. And a story on a fire in Old Saybrook misspelled Chalker, as in Chalker Beach. Thanks folks!
