An earlier version of a column by Norm Pattis this morning, which also appeared in the New Haven Register's print edition, incorrectly stated that Buck Thurman stabbed his wife Tracey Thurman to death in Torrington in 1983 in a case that led to modern domestic violence laws. Tracey Thurman was not killed in that attack and is still alive today.
