Correction: One reference in an early version of a story on the death of Yale professor Samuel See incorrectly reported who was arrested on Sept. 18 in what court records indicate was a domestic dispute. See and his husband, Sunder Ganglani, were arrested.

Lawsuit story contained outdated information

An earlier version of a story about a civil suit filed against East Haven police incorrectly identified three officers, Lt. Frank Montagna, retired officer Michael Sorbo and Lt. Ed Lennon, as defendants in the suit, Chacon v. East Haven. A judge dismissed them from the lawsuit on Feb. 6, 2012. The story also identified Yadanny Garcia as a plaintiff. Garcia is no longer part of the lawsuit.

State's attorneys work for Division of Criminal Justice

A story on Gov. Dannel P. Malloy calling for the release of the Sandy Hook police report incorrectly reported that the state's attorneys are members of the Judicial Branch when in fact they are members of the executive branch. The state’s attorneys work for the Division of Criminal Justice, an independent agency in the executive branch.

A story in the New Haven Register Thursday incorrectly reported the total percentage of New Haven voters who turned out  Nov. 5 The turnout was an estimated 29 percent.

Because of an editing error, an early version of a story on Shoreline election results incorrectly reported that Veronica Wallace would have been Guilford’s first female first selectman. Marjory Schmidt held the position from 1973-75.
