A story in Friday’s edition of the Register on a $6 million state payment to a wrongfully imprisoned man incorrectly reported the first name of the dean of the University of Connecticut School of Law, who also is the founder of the Connecticut Innocence Fund, He is Timothy S. Fisher.

A story in Friday’s edition of the Register on proposed changes to New Haven’s Civilian Review Board incorrectly reported the city ward represented by Alder Brian Wingate. He represents Ward 29.

A story in Saturday’s (Jan. 24) edition of the Register on proposed state budget rescissions incorrectly reported the cuts to the Office of Government Accountability.  The proposed cut is $65,000.

As the result of updated information, a story on suicide in Sunday's Register should have included Connecticut's a suicide rate of 10.25 per 100,000 population, which is below the national average, and its total of suicides in 2013, 333.

A headline on an earlier version of a story about a new restaurant in Seymour incorrectly reported the shopping center in which it is located. A 92-seat restaurant and pub called American Pie and Pub is slated to open in Klarides Village, not Tri-Town Plaza.

Due to incorrect information provided by the United States Humane Society Connecticut division a story in the Dec. 27 edition of the New Haven Register incorrectly reported that a Connecticut pet business had dealt with a vendor that incurred four USDA violations.

The Dog House in Manchester had not done business with the vendor named by the Humane Society.
